The Aquila Satyr Fountain

You can get my last creation, the Aquila Satyr Fountain in Second Life Marketplace.

This is an elegant fountain with some nice details. A lion head as fountain, a golden statue of Satyr to decor and an ancient mosaic of god Neptune in the base.

Ancient satyrs were conflated in the popular and poetic imagination with Latin spirits of woodland and with the rustic Greek god Pan. Satyrs were described as goat-like from the haunches to the hooves, and were often pictured with larger horn. Above all, the Satyr with flute shows his deep connection with nature, the sound of the wind, the gurgling water or the birds singing. As Dionysiac creatures, they love wine and sex, and they are ready for every physical pleasure.

The fountain is served with some moving koi fishes which you can put inside at your taste.

The result is a lovely fountain that you can use to decorate your house, garden or any space you wish.

This fountain is available in Second Life Marketplace Web.

Enjoy it!

Real Life Hunk of the Month February: William Levy

Born in 1980 in Cojimar (Cuba), he emigrated with his parents and sister to Miami (Florida) when he was fourteen.

In 2002, Levy was signed on with the modeling agency Next Models, but got his big television break on Telemundo’s reality show Isla de la Tentación and the competition Protagonistas de novela (like an American Idol for telenovela actors). The shows proved Levy was ready for stardom. Shortly after he was signed on for his first telenovela Olvidarte Jamas on Univision.

In 2005, he perfomed his first play as starring in Puerto Rico La nena tiene tumbao. Then the producer Carla Estrada gave him the opportunity to star into the Mexican television Televisa and to act in the pirates melodrama Pasión. His performance as Vasco was so convincing that the station offered him his first starring on the soap opera Cuidado con el ángel, with actress and singer Maite Perroni.

In 2009, Levy starred Sortilegio with Jacqueline Bracamontes, and he also lent his voice to the Spanish version of the animated movie Planet 51. From 2009 to 2010, he toured in Mexico and the United States with the play Un amante perfecto/Un amante a la medida. In 2010, he participated in the Mexican telenovela Triunfo del amor, with Maite Perroni again

In 2011, he starred as Jennifer Lopez's love interest in her music video I'm Into You, from her album Love?. And next year, Levy appeared in two episodes of the VH1 television series Single Ladies, with Denise Vasi. He also participated in the 14th season of Dancing with the Stars, where he finished in 3rd place with his dance-pro partner Cheryl Burke.

In 2013, he stars the Mexican telenovela La tempestad, with Ximena Navarrete.

About his personal life, I just highlight that he is a single father-of-two, his son Christopher, born in 2006, and his daughter, Kailey, born in 2010.

German Constitutional Court expands adoption rights to same-sex couples

The German Constitutional Court, the highest court of Germany, has just ruled that any people should be allowed to adopt a child already adopted by his/her partner before, and has declared that the same-sex legal couples have the same right, otherwise would be discriminatory.

"In marriage as in a civil partnership, adoption provides the child in the same way with legal security and material advantages in terms of care, support and inheritance law", has said the court. "The exclusion of successive adoption by registered partners violates the general principle of equality", has added.

That means, if one of the legal couple's member has adopted a child then his/her partner will can adopt that child too, which is called "successive adoption", and don't mind if the partners have the same sex.

However, the same-sex couples are not allowed to marry in Germany and they can only form civil unions. For that reason, althought the court has expanded the successive adoption right to the same-sex legal couples, for now they can not adopt in common because that right is still only allowed to married couples.

There is another recent court decision in similar sense. The European Court of Human Rights ruled against Austria's decision to deny a lesbian woman the right to adopt her longtime partner's son. The court, located in Strasbourg (France), found there was no persuasive reason to treat the same-sex couple differently from an heterosexual couple in the child's adoption. The ruling will force to change Austrian resolutions in identical cases.
