How Spanish Men are Perceived

Not all Spanish men can dance flamenco, or like bullfighting, or only eat paella.

Inspired on Huffingtonpost, 12 stereotypes about the Spanish men that are DEFINITELY true:

1. Our English is pretty bad.

2. We like to drink.

3. We also love eating.

4. We are very family-oriented.

5. We have so many bars.

6. We cook well (very well).

7. We're very affectionate, even with new acquaintances.

8. We speak very loudly.

9. We are on a different schedule from the rest of Europe.

10. We're always late.

11. We love free stuff.

12. Soccer is EVERYTHING to us.

I can agree with all these characteristics, but I really miss one... we are always ready to make love.

Same-sex Marriage Consolidates in France

A poll has found that three-quarters of people in France want to keep the country’s same-sex marriage laws, despite opposition calls to repeal it.

The poll may crush the hopes of those wishing to block same-sex marriage, as a majority of UMP members now support keeping the law, as well as an overwhelming majority of the French public.

France legalised same-sex marriage in April 2013 in spite of large protests, and in May last year Bruno Boileau and Vincent Autin became the first French same-sex couple to marry.

U.S. Supreme Court adds gay marriage to the justices' agenda

The U.S. Supreme Court has formally added same-sex marriage cases to the justices' agenda for their closed-door conference on Sept. 29th.

The action Wednesday does not mean that the court will decide that day to hear state appeals of lower court rulings that struck down bans on same-sex marriage. But the late September conference will be the first time the justices have the issue before them. The meeting will be the justices' first since late June.

Appeals have been filed from Indiana, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. The gay couples who won in each case in the lower courts also favor Supreme Court review.

The justices could put off deciding whether to take up gay marriage until January and still be able to issue a decision by late June.

Neil Patrick Harris Marries in Italy

Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka are married!

Harris and Burtka wed in an intimate ceremony in front of family and friends in Italy. But same-sex marriage is not legal in European country, meaning that the couple will likely have to file paperwork elsewhere to recognise the marriage.

Both men wore Tom Ford tuxedos for the nuptials, which were officiated by "How I Met Your Mother" producer and director Pam Fryman. Elton John performed at the party.

Harris and Burtka, who have been together for 10 years and have twins, announced their engagement in 2011 after marriage equality passed in the New York State Senate. Harris revealed they had gotten engaged five years before that, but only then decided to make it public.

Harris took to Twitter to share the joyous news.

Congrats to the newlyweds!

Something is changing in China?

An overwhelming majority of Chinese young people are fine with gay people, according to a recent survey.

About 87% of respondents said they accepted gay people, compared to 13% who said they did not understand homosexuality.

The survey was conducted by internet giant Baidu, the Chinese version of Google and Wikipedia, and asked 7,000 internets users born in the 1990s about their views on love, friendship, consumption, family and employment.

I hope this means that something is changing in China.
