San Diego becomes the Gay Bowl's capital

San Diego was host to Gay Bowl XV, the national LGBT flag football tournament put on every Columbus Day weekend by the National Gay Flag Football League.

It's been a decade since San Diego hosted Gay Bowl, but NGFFL teams will make their way to America's Finest City for the 15th Annual Super Gay Bowl.

Another record breaking showing for the NGFFL, this year's tournament was the largest ever held, with almost 50 teams participating in three divisions; Open 'A', Open 'B' and a Women's division.his year's tournament was the largest ever held, with almost 50 teams participating in three divisions; Open 'A', Open 'B' and a Women's division.

A great sport event to celebrate equality.

  1. Is the gay team from San Francisco called the 69ers? They really should be. Their NFL team is the 49ers so it would make sense. Other teams can keep their Pro-City Names. The New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts are all nice names for Gay Bowl teams.
