  2. I live in South Florida and people are in a state of shock right now. It does not matter if you are LGBT or straight of whatever-- but of course, the LGBT community feels the most vulnerable. One thing that I want to point out is that City of Orlando is a progressive and gay-friendly area despite the shootings. The Disney Company, of course, is one of the most gay-friendly and supportive corporations in the world and hosts LGBT events on their Orlando properties despite threats of boycotts by bigoted groups that do not materialize. The City of Orlando and Orange County Florida (where Orlando is located) prohibit discrimination in employment for sexual orientation and gender identity. So please, let this shooting not let the nation thing that Central Florida is a bigoted and dangerous place for LGBT people - it is not.

  3. As you know Eddi, I've been in Florida several times and I agree with your words. I felt absolutely safe and very wellcomed in the Sunny State. The killer was a hater and extremist, not an American neither a human being.
