Mexico City's Mayor Held Mass Wedding for Gay Couples

In the only place in Mexico where it’s currently legal, Mexico City's Mayor, Miguel Mancera, has married 26 gay couples in a mass wedding last Sunday.

Mancera said: "Mexico City has 2,513 same-sex marriages, but only this year we have over 373 marriages between same-sex couple. There is a very important fact about these couples: they registered only 2% of divorces". That shows the strength and commitment of same-sex couples.

Now it's necessary to bring marriage equality to the rest of Mexico’s states.

Congrats to all couples, and congrats to Mexico City!
