Same Love... Same Rights

The single "Same Love" of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, the hip-hop duo from Seattle, is the first song to explicitly support gay marriage to be into the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.

On June 26, the same day the Supreme Court handed two historic victories to same-sex couples, the song rose up from No. 65 to No. 28. Today, it has reached No. 11. "Same Love" has captured the American’s mood, reflecting growing support among people for gay marriage, and it has become the gay marriage equality anthem.

The song addresses Macklemore’s personal experiences and feelings around the issue of same-sex relationships and equal marriage, and features a video spanning the whole lives of a gay couple, including a happy wedding.

Watch and enjoy the video & music, they are worth it!
