Chicago Pride 2013: Over 1 Million Proud!

More than 1 million people celebrated the 44th annual Pride Parade in Chicago.

An event that took a bittersweet meaning in the wake of the Supreme Court's historic decision to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act last week, but after the General Assembly's failure to pass a gay marriage bill in Illinois some weeks ago.

In any case, thousands lined the streets of Uptown and Lakeview for the Pride Parade, through Broadway and Halsted streets, for seeing more than 200 floats, bands, decorated cars and walkers activists.

Chicago Capital Pride Again!
